Starbucks Indonesia Strengthens Commitment to Communities through SCYEP

In line with its mission is to strengthen humanity by transforming lives around the world, with a focus on enabling community resilience and prosperity and uplifting disaster-affected communities, The Starbucks Foundation has support other initiatives in Indonesia. In 2022, The Starbucks Foundation collaborated with Habitat for Humanity and PT. Sari Coffee Indonesia to support a water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) project in Bojong Koneng Village, Babakan Madang, Bogor.

In addition, Starbucks Indonesia partners (employees) installed an AquaTower with Planet Water Foundation in Cipamokolan, Bandung, for Global Handwashing Day, the market’s tenth tower since 2011.

Additionally, Starbucks partners have supported a project led by Mercy Corps Indonesia, and funded by The Starbucks Foundation, to empower women coffee farmers in Bandung Regency through training and mentoring. Most recently, The Starbucks Foundation supported deployment of an AquaBlock emergency water system in partnership with Planet Water Foundation to provide clean, safe drinking water to people affected by the earthquake in Cianjur.
