Archipelago Food Festival at Aston Inn Batu 

“All You Can Eat Nusantara Cuisine”

Archipelago Food Festival (AFF) once again showcases the excellence of Nusantara cuisine, this time in the city of Batu, East Java. In this edition of AFF, Aston Inn Batu, celebrating its 5th anniversary and the Soft Opening of Eskala Eatery, Bar & Coffee, serves as the host of this grand event. The purpose of this event is to provide satisfaction to all culinary enthusiasts in Batu, East Java.

Archipelago Food Festival (AFF) is a culinary extravaganza organized by Executive Chefs from hotels under the umbrella of Archipelago International. Taking place on July 14, 2023, the event carries the theme “Discover Nusantara Culinary Delights Where Gastronomy Meets Natural Beauty.”

Held at Semeru New Ballroom in Aston Inn Batu, this event features 10 executive chefs from various Archipelago International Hotels in the East Java Region and its surroundings.

These include Chef Herman from favehotel Sidoarjo, Chef Mantri from favehotel Kediri, Chef Subadri from Aston Madiun Hotel & Conference Center, Chef Susanto from The Alana Surabaya, Chef Eko from Favehotel Rungkut, Chef Bowo from Aston Inn Jemursari, Chef Hanidari from Neo+ Waru Sidoarjo, Chef Hendra from Favehotel Malang, Chef Isinyo from Aston Bojonegoro, and Chef Al from Aston Inn Batu. 

Alongside these ten Executive Chefs, Archipelago Food Festival presents dishes from various regions of the Nusantara, such as Rawon Sapi (beef stew) and Rujak Cingur (traditional fruit and vegetable salad with boiled cow snout). Bekakak Chicken, Woku Belanga Chicken, Sate Padang, Roti Jala, Empek-Empek, Coto Makassar, Soto Banjar and many other menus. 

“Archipelago Food Festival is an activity that takes place as a roadshow in several cities in Indonesia every month throughout the year 2023. As an initiative to support the revival of the culinary industry, especially in the hospitality sector, it also aims to introduce cuisine made with the best quality ingredients and cooked using professional methods by the Executive Chefs from Archipelago International hotels,” added Denny Frederick, Corporate Executive Chef of Archipelago International.
