Festivities all December long at Bali’s first premier rooftop pool club
December promises to be a month of celebrations at Bali’s first premier rooftop pool club; Kuta Social Club. The lively space perched atop the vibrant Mamaka by Ovolo, Bali hotel has unveiled weeks of activities to kick-start the festive season for 2022. Picture a celebration of the year that’s been, as well as the year that’s to come, with immersive experiences that range from Christmas brunch to live jazz at sunset.
At Kuta Social Club the events will take place from December 18 to 31, and will coincide with the venue’s stunning new open-fire kitchen and adjoining menu. From December 18 to 29, and again from December 26 to 29, Chef’s Social Counter will take place from 6pm onwards, a 10-course dinner dreamt up by executive chef Ben Harrington. On Christmas Eve (or December 24) you can toast to Kuta’s sunset while enjoying a spot of live music with Jazz Into Sunset, joined by Mediterranean cuisine. The event will take place from 6.00pm to 10.00pm.
On Christmas Day itself from 11am to 3pm there’s a special family-style brunch, a feast for the ages which will see plates piled high with locally sourced seafood, premium charcoal-grilled tomahawk steak and plenty more. The family-friendly event promises plenty to entertain the kids too, and will include a special guest appearance by Santa.
Celebrations continue well into the new year, with Kuta Social Club offering a duo of New Year’s Eve options. An exclusive dinner will be hosted from 5.30pm to 9.30pm, where love and plenty of Champagne can be shared before the countdown. Or lean in to the chance to say goodbye to 2022 in style with Kuta Social Club’s Cheers into 2023 which kicks off at 10.30pm. An electrifying evening is planned involving live music, DJs, fire and LED dancers, stilt walkers, water drummers and more, all within arm’s reach of lively Kuta Beach.
