At VAN-TASTIC, PT Mercedes-Benz Distribution Indonesia closes its successful year 2018 by presenting a product line up that accommodates business and leisure. From the V-Class and Sprinter up to the new C-Class, Mercedes-Benz showcases a selection of vehicles that accommodates the need for comfort and safety for both professional as well as personal use. Two variants of the V-Class and the Sprinter will be highlighted while the new C-Class will have its debut at a public event.

“By hosting VAN-TASTIC, Mercedes-Benz once again shows the variety of its model portfolio close to our customer base. For this end-of-year event, we have chosen for a location that is convenient for our prospect customers to visit and experience the variability of Mercedes-Benz products. The model range at VAN- TASTIC showcases the Mercedes-Benz V 260 in two variants as well as the Sprinter; both vehicles are well suited for flexibility in professional use and at the same time offer outstanding practicality for family needs”, said Kariyanto Hardjosoemarto, Deputy Director, Sales Operations and Product Management, PT Mercedes-Benz Distribution Indonesia.

The new V 260: large-size MPV comes in two variants

The V-Class now comes with the new 2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine delivering an output of 155 kW/211 hp. For the first time the new V 260 is available in two variants: the V 260 LWB (long-wheel base) and V 260 XLWB (extra long-wheel base). The V 260 LWB measures 5.140 mm in length with the V 260 XLWB standing at 5.370 mm (+230 mm). The longer wheel base of the V 260 XLWB provides the luxury of ample cabin space to the rear passengers.

Both models come with the Avantgarde Package including Intelligent LED Light System Package and 18-inch 10-twin spoke light-alloy wheels. The luxurious interior with Table Package and Burmester surround sound system is completed by the Nappa leather upholstery, high-gloss dark anthracite ebony wood-look trim and Ambient Lighting. Exclusively, the V 260 LWB comes standard with a Panoramic glass roof. With these features, the V-Class sets the benchmark as the MPV offering a high level of safety and comfort on par with typical Mercedes- Benz passenger car standards.

Sprinter: outstanding flexibility and practicality

The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is outstandingly equipped for everyday business operations. Across Indonesia, numerous transportation-, emergency- and private services value the safety and comfort features of the Sprinter.

The Sprinter 315 CDI A3 is equipped with the 6-speed ECO gear 360 manual transmission. This transmission ensures the reduction of fuel consumption and keeping emissions low – important arguments in favour of the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter for the use by professional and private services.

For more than 20 years now the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter has been setting the benchmark in the 3.5 t van segment, meeting the needs of customers. When it launched the first Sprinter in 1995, Mercedes-Benz Vans had recognised the signs of the times and the needs of customers. High quality standards were established, both in development and in production.

Revolutionary aspects right from the start included the dynamic design, the numerous base variants, the efficient engines, exemplary safety equipment and the ergonomic cockpit. This innovative concept, the outstanding product quality and satisfied customers ensured a successful start for the sophisticated van. Coupled with its high profile, the Sprinter gave its name to an entire vehicle category and is today synonymous with the segment for vans with a gross vehicle weight of up to five tonnes.

C 300 AMG Line: Top of its class with more comfort and equipment

For the first time since its production roll-off at the Mercedes-Benz Plant in Wanaherang, The new C-Class is shown to the public at VAN-TASTIC 2018. The engine of the C 300 AMG Line excels with a forceful output together with low consumption and emissions. For the new C 300, the four-cyliner engine delivers 190 kW (258 hp). The peak torque of 370 Nm is available from 1800 to 4000 rpm. The engine is combined with the 9G-TRONIC transmission and this package allows impressive performance figures: the new C 300 AMG Line accelerates from a standstill to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h.

Furthermore, the C 300 AMG Line is equipped with Panoramic roof, adjustable sunblinds for the rear side windows, electric sunblind for the rear window, THERMOTRONIC 3-zone climate control and the Burmester® surround sound system including 13 speakers with a total output of 590 Watt. Enhancing its safety systems and protecting its occupants in accidents, the C 300 is also standard fitted with PRE-SAFE®.

“Besides the V-Class and Sprinter, we showcase the new C-Class up to the luxury S-Class sedan at Mercedes-Benz VAN-TASTIC. With an integrated concept of display cars and test drive vehicles at one of the premium malls in South Jakarta, VAN-TASTIC is an event for prospect customers who intend to purchase a Mercedes-Benz before the holidays, closes Kariyanto Hardjosoemarto.
