The Cena Con Vino

Gran Melia Jakarta is proud to present Cena Con Vino Wine Dinner, a sumptuous wine pairing dinner featuring Protos fine wines, the first to be introduced in Indonesia. The extravagant culinary feast will additionally highlight selection of the best Spanish dishes created by our Spanish Chef, David Fernandez.

Guests are able to enjoy an extensive range of exclusive Protos Spanish wines from the country region in a sophisticated, lavish and relaxed atmosphere of RedLevel Lounge on September 25th 2018. This wine dinner is a chance for guests to explore wine culture and to experience the Spanish hospitality.

Along with the dazzling array of both white and red wines of Protos, the top five wines will be paired with the delightful dinner are Crianza, Gran Reserva, Reserva, Roble 2016, Verdejo 2016. The wines of Protos aroma and taste show expressive, flavourlful, powerful and elegant with nice toasty note and deep fruity characteristics. They can be enjoyed within 2 to 3 years after harvest. The five glasses of white and red wine are paired with a six-course dinner prepared by our Spanish Chef, David Fernandez.

The sumptuous dinner dishes are classics spanish rices in shape of nigiri and bravioli potatoes, traditional gazpacho in “avant-garde-style‟, beef cheek accompanied with grean beans, caramelized shallots and extremadura migas, pan tumaca with fuet – bread in with tomato, olive oil and sausage, and lastly fresh strawberries with white chocolate cream, chocolate bread and crumble of black chocolate.

General Manager of Gran Melia Jakarta, Ms. Ruth Abellan says “We would like to presents the Spanish hospitality as well as its delightful cuisines with the Protos fine wines in a more approachable, interactive, and relaxed atmosphere. Our aim is also to introduce the unique taste – whether they are wine connoisseurs or complete novices to the wonderful world of Spanish wines.” The Cena Con Vino will be available on Tuesday, September 25th 2018 at the exclusive RedLevel Lounge for IDR 888,000 nett per person.
