About Syrco Bakker

Syrco Bakker, a young chef renowned for his unique and pure culinary style, has earned several prestigious awards and titles that are a testament to his skill and dedication.

His achievements include taking the #31 spot at The Best Chef Awards and securing two Michelin stars for Pure C. Bakker’s journey into the culinary arts was sparked by curiosity, which led him to become one of the youngest head chefs in the world, holding two Michelin stars.

His career began under the mentorship of Sergio Herman at the 3 Michelin Star Oud Sluis, after which he took the lead at Pure C for 12 years.

In a recent accolade, Bakker was named Chef of the Year in the Netherlands by Gault&Millau. The same guide acknowledged his outstanding contributions to Dutch gastronomy with an impressive 18 out of 20 score. This recognition confirms his status at the pinnacle of Dutch culinary excellence.
