Award-winning global boutique resort brand Karma Group has just added an exciting new property to its international portfolio. Karma Martam Retreat nestles in a valley whose slopes are cut into vivid green stepped rice paddies set against a backdrop of soaring Himalayan peaks in the heart of India’s Sikkim Province, just 30 kilometres from the provincial capital Gangtok.

It faces the majestic Nathula Range – of which Mount Everest is a part. temperatures never exceed 27 degrees centigrade even in the height of summer, while evenings tend to be nice and cool thanks to the mountain setting.
Karma Martam Retreat itself is designed to blend with its surroundings. The 25 smartly appointed units boast panoramic views and in addition, guests can enjoy the heated indoor swimming pool, all day dining, games room, as well as a Karma Spa facility complete with steam room and sauna.
The resort even boasts its own private organic kitchen garden, offering guests farm to table produce as well as other delicious locally sourced ingredients.
