Flavours of Southern Thailand 

A highly anticipated part of Napasai’s annual calendar includes a Visiting Celebrity Chef this summer from Friday, 29th to Sunday, 31st July, featuring the rare opportunity to dine and cook alongside Tam Chudaree Debhakam, the chef and owner of Baan Tepa, the urbanfarm- and-restaurant hybrid culinary destination at the heart of Bangkok, serving unique interpretations of regional Thai dishes based on fresh, seasonal and local ingredients. 

Now open for bookings for a limited time only, this intimate gastronomy experience will be hosted at Napasai the spirited Belmond tropical retreat on Koh Samui’s northern shore, featuring a rare culinary encounter with Thailand’s fast-rising culinary star, Tam Chudaree Debhakam, the first and youngest Top Chef Thailand. 

Guests of Napasai who stay for a minimum of 2-nights from Friday, 29th to Sunday, 31st July can participate in an immersive full-day itinerary with Chef Tam on Saturday, 30th July, which includes a legendary gastronomic journey rooted in sustainable dining and elevated modern Thai cuisine, while championing locally sourced produce. 

For participating guests, the Full-Day Itinerary on Saturday, 30th July includes a morning venture out to a local farm for harvesting of ingredients, afternoon prepping session with Chef Tam, and an intimate sit-down dinner to savour the culinary creations. On this exclusive Napasai culinary journey with Chef Tam, guests will embark on a discovery of heart-warming southern Thailand flavours, featuring local ingredients from land to sea, with thought-provoking encounters and opportunities for sustainable dining in style. 

Available for one night only, the special menu features 100 percent Local-Samui Inspired, spotlighting freshly harvested ingredients of fruits, plants and fish, that echo the warmth and nourishing spirit of Southern Thai tropical island life and culture.
