Japanese Chef Morita Shigehiko and Chef Chris Salans at Mozaic

The Chris Salans Group is excited to announce a rare and exciting event happening at Mozaic Restaurant Gastronomique in Ubud, on Friday May 28th 2021.

Chef Shige of Indigo Restaurant in Berawa – often referred to as the best Japanese restaurant in Bali – will be joining hands with chef Chris Salans to prepare an amazing dining experience at Mozaic restaurant.

The two chefs have decided to collaborate on a Chef Omakase– a traditional Japanese tasting menu composed of a large variety of dishes based on the best ingredients available. For this Omakase the two chefs have selected 6 amazing and rare imported produce; Sakoshi Bay oysters, Hamachi Yellowtail, Otoro Fatty Tuna Belly, Duck Foie Gras, Wagyu Beef Ribeye grade 9+ and Matcha Green Tea.

Each Chef will be preparing these 6 ingredients in traditional ways respective to their own countries – Japan and France – so guests will enjoy a total of 12 different dishes – 6 from chef Shige, with flavors of Japan, and 6 from chef Chris, with flavors of France. To further enhance the experience, a special pairing of premium wines, carefully selected by our in-house master sommelier Cokorda Bagus, will be available for this exclusive dinner.

Dinner reservations will be available from 6.00pm until 8.30pm. Price for the dinner will be IDR 850,000++ per person for the 10-course tasting menu and IDR 1,150,000++ per person for the 12- course tasting menu.
