Wyndham Casablanca Jakarta achieved success in Victoria Beef Challenge 2021. The competition was held in JW Marriot Jakarta hotel and participated by other well-known hotels and restaurants such as Ritz Carlton Pacific Place, Royal Tulip, Sudestada, Manna Naked Recipe and JW Marriot itself.
Two of Commis I Chefs who represented Wyndham Casablanca Jakarta, Gantini Putri Fuji Santoso and Albarra Saputra chose Rendang as the presented menu for the competition. “This Indonesian traditional cuisine is famous for its richness of spices and flavours,” Putri said.
According to one of the judges, Chef Stefu, there are five requirements to be considered to prevail in the competition; cooking technic, creativity, application, presentation, and the most important is the taste.
After all participants presented their plate, the judges tasted and gave all cooks some feedbacks. Wyndham Casablanca Jakarta came second with 262 points and received the trophy as well as cooking equipment worth IDR 10 million as the prize.
