Mr & Mrs Smith and Frescobol Carioca Make a Splash with Limited-Edition Swimwear Collection

Mr & Mrs Smith, the travel club for hotel lovers, has teamed up with luxury lifestyle brand Frescobol Carioca, to create its first ever swimwear collection.

The limited-edition capsule collection is released on 1 May to mark the beginning of Mr & Mrs Smith’s 15th anniversary celebrations.

Frescobol Carioca is a brand inspired by the golden age of Brazilian beachlife their tailored swimwear inspired by the colours of the Copacabana, Rio’s thrumming nightlife and its swirling sidewalk mosaics. Alongside clothing, their skilled marceneiros craft beautiful bats, surf and skateboards from hand-collected driftwood and hardwood offcuts.

The four-piece, resort-ready Mr & Mrs Smith collection includes two pairs of classic chevron-printed swim trunks, a linen beach towel, and a pair of wooden bats, all designed using Smith’s trademark red and navy blue to ensure a classic coastal look for beaches in Brazil and beyond.

A short film – and a set of stylish stills – shot on location in Rio by acclaimed photographer and art director Alex Bramall will accompany the launch of the collaboration. And the Frescobol Carioca team have hand-picked their hotel hotlist for summer 2018 – a ‘Where to wear’ guide, if you will – which will launch simultaneously at The range will be on sale for a limited time at and at selected Frescobol Carioca stores from 1 May.
