And at the heart of this urban resort’s design language lies the creative mastery of LW Design Group, the global design firm tasked with turning the F&B podium of this landmark into a layered, luxurious, and immersive experience.
Unveiled in 2024, One&Only’s first foray into urban hospitality goes far beyond expected five-star flair. The collaboration between LW and Kerzner International—six years in the making—has given birth to a collection of spaces that blur the line between architecture, narrative, and sensory indulgence.
A Floating Balinese Eden: The Garden Pool
Perched on the fourth floor of One Za’abeel, what was once an underutilized podium is now The Garden Pool—a sanctuary suspended above the city, inspired by the stepped rice terraces of Bali. Here, three tiers of cascading pools nestle amidst limestone, slate, and emerald tiles that whisper of Indonesia’s natural opulence.
The journey begins with hand-carved Balinese gates and lush green corridors that transport guests from Dubai’s fast lane to a slower, softer rhythm. The design is more than aesthetic; it’s deeply experiential. Trellised wood walkways, dense tropical flora, hidden plunge pools, and terraced decks unfold like scenes from a story—each one carefully crafted to invoke tranquility without losing touch with the urban energy below.
