A modern cultural landmark in Bali earns global recognition for its architecture, soul, and storytelling.
SAKA Museum, the cultural jewel nestled within AYANA Estate in Jimbaran, Bali, has been named one of the World’s Most Beautiful Museums 2025 by Prix Versailles. The prestigious French organization announced its annual list on May 5, celebrating institutions that blend striking architectural design with cultural depth and sustainability.
This year, SAKA stands as the sole Indonesian representative among an elite lineup that includes the Grand Palais in Paris, Kunstsilo in Norway, and the Cleveland Museum of Natural History in the United States.

More than just a visually arresting space, SAKA Museum is a narrative-driven experience—a place where art, philosophy, and Balinese heritage converge in a setting that’s as thoughtful as it is powerful.
“SAKA Museum has become a source of cultural pride and inspiration for Bali,” says Dr. Judith E. Bosnak, Director of SAKA Museum. “This recognition from Prix Versailles honors the creativity and hard work of our team and reaffirms our mission to offer sustainable, accessible, and innovative cultural learning spaces.”

Since its opening in 2024, SAKA has attracted international acclaim, including a spot on TIME Magazine’s World’s Greatest Places 2024 list and recognition from the Kyoto Global Design Awards for its sustainable architecture.
Located within one of Bali’s most iconic resorts, SAKA’s architecture plays with natural light, organic materials, and open-air concepts to invite guests into a sensorial journey through Bali’s rich spiritual and natural traditions.
