Royal Enfield Breaks All-Time Record with Over 1 Million Motorcycles Sold in a Year

Royal Enfield has just hit a major milestone — for the first time in its history, the iconic motorcycle brand sold over 1 million units in a single financial year (ending March 31, 2025). That’s 1.09 million bikes, up 11% from the previous year. Even March 2025 alone saw a whopping 34% increase in sales, and exports surged 37%.

From Classic to Record-Breaking

CEO of Royal Enfield and Eicher Motors MD, B. Govindarajan, called it an “exceptional year.” He recalled the days when selling 50,000 bikes annually was a big win — and now, Royal Enfield is a global force in the mid-size motorcycle segment.

Fan favorites like the Bullet Battalion Black and the latest Classic 350 helped fuel the surge. The Hunter 350 alone has crossed 500,000 units sold, and the Super Meteor 650 has already hit 50,000 units.

Asia Pacific Shines Too 🌏

The Asia Pacific region posted a strong 13% growth, with Royal Enfield becoming a market leader in key countries like Thailand, Australia, Japan, Malaysia, and New Zealand.

Anuj Dua, Business Head for Asia Pacific, credited the success to world-class products, a passionate rider community, and solid dealer partnerships. “We’re not just aiming to lead,” he said, “we want to grow the mid-size motorcycle segment globally. And this achievement is just the beginning.”

Royal Enfield Highlights of the Year:

🏭 New Assembly Plant in Thailand

Royal Enfield opened its first wholly-owned CKD (Completely Knocked Down) plant outside India in Samut Prakan, Bangkok. With a 57,000 sq. ft. facility and an annual capacity of 30,000 units, it’s a major step in expanding its Southeast Asia presence.

🇧🇩 New Manufacturing Facility in Bangladesh

They also launched a new assembly and flagship showroom in Bangladesh, focusing on local production of Hunter 350, Meteor 350, Classic 350, and Bullet 350. A new CKD unit in Brazil is also planned for 2025.

⚡️ Royal Enfield Goes Electric with ‘Flying Flea’

Royal Enfield introduced its electric brand, Flying Flea, at EICMA 2024 and in India. Inspired by the iconic 1940s bike of the same name, this EV line blends retro design with modern electric tech. The first two models — FF-C6 (retro-futuristic) and FF-S6 (scrambler style) — are set to launch in 2026.
