Nuanu Creative City: The Visionary Collective Behind Bali’s Most Ambitious Cultural Ecosystem

Nestled within the lush landscapes of Tabanan, Bali, a new destination is rising—one not just built of bricks and mortar, but of philosophy, purpose, and an uncompromising vision for the future. Nuanu Creative City, a 44-hectare cultural and innovation hub, is reimagining what it means to live, create, and lead sustainably in the 21st century.

At the helm of this ambitious initiative is a collective of trailblazers—visionaries across business, culture, sustainability, and design—who are not only crafting a destination but reshaping Bali’s narrative in the global consciousness.

A City In the Making, Rooted in Process

The word Nuanu—derived from Balinese, meaning “in the process”—reflects a city forever evolving. With over US$150 million already invested and more than 1,200 global inquiries for its US$70 million investment opportunity launched during Nuanu Investor Day in February 2025, the development is attracting attention as one of Southeast Asia’s most exciting new projects.

For Lev Kroll, CEO of Nuanu, the city is a confluence of innovation, community, and cultural responsibility. A seasoned entrepreneur with a background in IT and investment, Kroll envisions Nuanu as more than a business endeavor—it is a living organism where art, technology, and sustainability coalesce.

“Our goal,” Kroll says, “is to build a space where ideas thrive, where we nurture both people and the planet.”

Where Heritage Meets Global Vision

Playing a pivotal role in ensuring Nuanu remains anchored in local values is Ida Ayu Astari Prada, Brand & Communications Director. With ancestral ties to Bali and a profound respect for its customs, Astari is the cultural compass of the project.

Guided by the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana—the harmony between people, nature, and the divine—she crafts narratives that celebrate heritage while embracing the global. Her stewardship ensures that Nuanu does not merely exist on Balinese soil, but grows from it.

Architecture of Intention

Strategic direction comes under the stewardship of Novi Dwi Jayanti, Director of Nuanu. With 15+ years of experience in business law and social semiotics, Jayanti ensures the city’s development is both visionary and legally sound. Her leadership oversees not just investment and regulation, but land use planning, business development, and the embedding of social responsibility into every layer of growth.

“Nuanu’s legal and business infrastructure is designed to ensure that profit never compromises purpose,” she affirms.
