Where Diplomats, Business Leaders, and Philanthropy Meet Under the Indonesian Sun
At the immaculate greens of Imperial Klub Golf, Tangerang, a new tradition was born. Jakarta Diplomatic Drive: Kahigama Golf Invitational 2025, held on Saturday, April 26, brought together a remarkable blend of diplomats, government figures, business leaders, and golf aficionados, all driven by a shared passion — not just for the sport, but for education and clean water initiatives.
Organized by the Keluarga Alumni Hubungan Internasional Universitas Gadjah Mada (Kahigama) — the alumni association of International Relations graduates from UGM — this half-day tournament offered much more than a sporting event. It became a powerful catalyst for fostering informal engagement across sectors, bridging nations, industries, and communities with a single swing.

Backed by nearly 30 sponsors, the event succeeded in creating an atmosphere where players could bond beyond boardrooms, while also contributing meaningfully to causes that matter.
Beyond Competition: A Legacy of Giving
According to Erry Sunarli, Chairman of Jakarta Diplomatic Drive: Kahigama Golf Invitational 2025, this inaugural event is envisioned as the beginning of an annual tradition. “We hope this tournament will evolve into an ongoing platform where casual conversations lead to impactful collaborations, benefiting future generations,” he emphasized.
The tournament’s social impact extends beyond the green. Proceeds from the event are dedicated to scholarships for International Relations students at UGM who excel academically but struggle financially, as well as to the Delivering Clean Water for Public program in collaboration with the Komodo Water Foundation.

Opening ceremonies began at 7:00 AM with a ceremonial tee-off by notable figures including Sandiaga Uno, Ambassador AM Fachir, Mr. CK Song, Ambassador Dindin Wahyudin, and Erry Sunarli.
