Lam Kwok Yam: Exploring Identity and Memory Through Art

Born in 1995 in Guangdong, China, Lam Kwok Yam is a contemporary artist based in Hong Kong. His work is deeply influenced by the intersection of personal perception and social phenomena, with a strong focus on identity, memory, and emotional complexities.

A graduate of the Academy of Visual Arts, Hong Kong Baptist University (2019), Lam is currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is also an active member of “Popo-Post Art Group”, which he co-founded in 2018, and “Writing as Method”, an artist collective dedicated to exploring artistic narratives.

Lam has actively participated in both solo and group exhibitions across Hong Kong, Japan, and South Korea. His recent solo exhibitions include:

Additionally, in 2023, he was selected for an artist-in-residence program at Art Center Ongoing, Tokyo, Japan, further expanding his creative exploration beyond Hong Kong.
