Harvest to Table: A Culinary Journey That Connects Nature and Flavor

A Special Culinary Collaboration Between Begawan Biji and Syrco Basè

On March 23, 2025, an exceptional culinary event will take place as Begawan Biji and Syrco BASÈ join forces for an exclusive dining experience, Harvest to Table. More than just a fine dining event, this unique collaboration will take guests on a journey through the origins of ingredients, from their natural source to an artfully crafted culinary masterpiece.

In the morning, guests will embark on an immersive experience by harvesting fresh ingredients straight from the fertile lands of Begawan Giri Farm. These handpicked ingredients will then be transformed into a multi-course dining experience, prepared by Chef Andrew Fahludza and Chef Syrco Bakker. Set in the lush heart of Bali, this event reflects a shared commitment to sustainability, craftsmanship, and reverence for nature.

Restoring Nature, Celebrating Sustainability

At Begawan Giri Farm, every inch of land tells a story of resilience and respect for ecological balance. Once affected by modern farming practices, the land has been revitalized through regenerative agriculture, a method that not only restores soil fertility but also nurtures a thriving ecosystem for future generations. By fostering biodiversity and allowing nature to flourish on its own terms, this farm produces high-quality, sustainably grown ingredients that nourish both body and soul.

From this fertile ground emerges Begawan Biji, a restaurant that embodies the philosophy of Begawan Giri, dedicated to honoring nature’s bounty through exceptional culinary experiences. Every dish served here is a direct reflection of the land’s richness, bridging the gap between sustainable agriculture and high-end dining.

More Than Just a Dinner, A Meaningful Journey

This collaboration is designed to immerse guests in the stories behind each ingredient, offering a rare opportunity to witness firsthand how raw nature is transformed into an exquisite dining experience.

“Syrco BASÈ is built on the values of traceability, nature, and transparency. Through this event, we invite guests to understand where their food comes from, appreciate its journey, and be part of the process. From sourcing and foraging in the regenerative gardens of Begawan Giri to seeing nature thrive as it should, this experience is not just about enjoying food – it’s about giving back to the land and nurturing the ecosystem,” says Chef Syrco Bakker.

Chef Andrew Fahludza adds, “This journey begins with an interactive foraging session in the 40-are farm, where guests will harvest fresh ingredients alongside local farmers, gaining insights into regenerative agriculture and the culinary philosophy of Begawan Biji.”

Throughout the day, guests will savor refreshing garden-inspired drinks, unwind in the tranquil countryside, and explore the richness of Balinese agricultural traditions. As night falls, the exclusive multi-course dinner will be served at Begawan Biji Restaurant at 6:30 PM, celebrating the harmony between natural ingredients, culinary expertise, and the deep connection between land and table.
