A Night Full of Wonders: With a Standing Ovation, Video Game Concert Volume II Takes Gamers & Music Lovers on an Unforgettable Musical Journey of Old and New

On February 24, 2025 (Sat 2/22) Jakarta was buzzing with excitement as Tennis Indoor Senayan Stadium hosted Video Game Concert Volume II, brought to you by TipTip and East Ventures. Under one of Indonesia’s greatest composer, Addie MS accompanied by the magnificent Twilite Orchestra, thousands of attendees were taken on a musical journey through the adventurous world of video games, ending on a high note with a standing ovation before and after two encore pieces, marking the closing chapter of such a grand, emotional, and captivating performance.

From the epic melodies of Final Fantasy to the adrenaline-pumping beats of DOTA 2, combined with a set of impressive stage as well as stage presence, captivating lighting, and premium sound design, this concert was a complete celebration for gamers and symphony music lovers alike. A special collaboration with the K-Pop group Kandis added to the night’s excitement, blending two different musical worlds in a stunning harmony.

“Seeing the audience’s enthusiasm moved me; it was a magical night,” said Twilite Orchestra’s composer and conductor, Addie MS. “We aimed to create an unforgettable experience, and we hope the audience felt that tonight.”

Addie MS and the Twilite Orchestra bring to life some of the iconic repertoirs featured in popular video games while the opening act of the K-Pop group Kandis brought a touch of modern elegance and refreshing energy into the atmosphere. The concert is a testament to how music really is a universal language that can unite people from all walks of life. Addie MS successfully hosted a talent-filled event, showcasing extraordinary performances.

Members of Kandis namely Hello, Nine, Venny, and Looky, expressed their excitement about the special collaboration.

“It was an extraordinary night. We feel honored, very happy, and extremely grateful for the precious opportunity to perform at this concert,” the band stated. They also expressed their admiration for Addie MS and the Twilite Orchestra, and their joy at performing in Indonesia while at the same time building new friendships and fans among Indonesian K-Pop enthusiasts.

Kandis, a vocal group from South Korea, captivated the audience by opening the Video Game Concert Volume II with five compositions, including “Legends Never Die” from League of Legends, “Kiss Me Goodbye” from Final Fantasy XII, and “Weight of the World” from NieR: Automata as well as later on greeting the audience again with their performance of “Simple and Clean” from Kingdom Hearts and “One” from RF Online.

The talented pianist siblings, Kevin Aprilio and Tristan Juliano, made their surprised presence by performing a duet on a single piano, rendetionig the Pokémon Trainer Battle theme. Kevin then showcased his skill with the complex composition “Tatakau Monotachi” from Final Fantasy VII while singer and famous YouTuber Meutia Amanda delivered enchanting performances of “Melodies of Life” from Final Fantasy IX and “The Edge of Dawn (Season of Warfare)” from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Following their acts, Evelyn Wijaya went and captured the audience’s attention with her rendition of “Snake Eater” from Metal Gear Solid 3 with singer-violinist Danu Kusuma performed “Baka Mitai” from Yakuza 5 followed after.
