Honouring A Legacy: Aman Tokyo Celebrates Its 10th Anniversary

A decade ago, a pioneering vision came to life in the heart of Tokyo – the first urban Aman sanctuary. Going above commonplace notions of luxury, Aman Tokyo redefined hospitality in the Japanese capital and beyond. Offering an entirely new way of experiencing a city, the urban resort presented all the brand’s hallmarks–peace, privacy and service–while embracing and sensitively showcasing local culture.

Celebrating 10 years in December, Aman Tokyo remains an iconic part of the city. Its famous lobby ascends nearly 30 metres and features a striking design by Kerry Hill Architects, a long-term collaborator with Aman.

Seamlessly blending traditional Japanese elements with contemporary flair, the harmonious space is one of The World’s 50 Best Hotels. Setting the standard for all Aman urban settings current and in the future, Aman Tokyo proudly marks its 10th anniversary with a series of events reflecting and honouring its legacy.

10th Anniversary Luggage Tag

As a gesture of appreciation for their decade of support, all guests staying at Aman Tokyo between 15 December to 31 January 2025, will receive a limited-edition luggage tag. A signature of any Aman stay, this special design is carefully craUed in leather reminiscent of carved wood, paired with curved metal hardware to symbolise harmony.

Bound to become a collectable for enthusiasts of the brand the exclusive anniversary tag reflects Aman Tokyo’s minimalist design language and will be presented to guests at the end of their stay – a thoughtful keepsake of their time in Tokyo.

AperiDvo River Cruise and Dinner at Arva

Serving as a testament to a decade of extraordinary experiences, this unique culinary journey, available from 26 December 2024 until 28 February 2025, commences on the calm waters of the Sumida River.

Cruising through the city, guests will gain a new perspective of the winter skyline at dusk, as they sip crisp glasses of Champagne and awaken the tastebuds with Aman Tokyo Original Caviar, made in the Kagawa Prefecture by the Area Director of Western Cuisine in Japan, Masakazu Hiraki.

The evening continues in the heights of the Otematchi Tower with a sumptuous dinner at Italian restaurant, Arva, where the rich flavours of Italy are transformed into a menu of six heartwarming dishes worthy of the occasion.
