Welcoming Festive Day of Eid Al-Fitr, Starbucks Opens First Stores in Garut, Kudus and Salatiga

Starbucks in Indonesia opens its first stores in the cities of Garut, Kudus, and Salatiga as it celebrates its 21st anniversary and in welcoming Eid al-Fitr, while continuing to bring the Starbucks Experience to more customers. Starbucks has achieved many milestones this year by being present in more than 50 Indonesian cities.

To stay true to its mission of inspiring and nurturing the human spirit – one person, one cup and one neighborhood at a time – Starbucks plans to expand further by opening stores in more than ten satellite cities to serve customers in these cities and beyond.

“In the vast and diverse Indonesian market, Starbucks plans to expand its existing portfolio by expanding its footprint to more than ten new cities in Indonesia. After being present for the first time  in Pematang Siantar and Palangka Raya in early 2023, we didn’t hesitate to expand our presence in the cities of Garut, Kudus, and Salatiga by opening Starbucks Ahmad Yani Garut, Starbucks Ahmad Yani Kudus, and Starbucks Diponegoro Salatiga,” said Anthony McEvoy, leader of PT Sari Coffee Indonesia, the official licensee for the Starbucks brand in Indonesia.

These three new locations will open just a few days before Eid al-Fitr: Starbucks Ahmad Yani Garut on April 14, 2023, Starbucks Ahmad Yani Kudus on April 19, 2023, and Starbucks Diponegoro Salatiga on April 21, 2023.

“As we celebrate our 21st anniversary, we want to continue to provide the best for our customers and the communities we serve, so we added stores in Garut, Kudus, and Salatiga right before the holidays so we could serve customers on special days,” Anthony added.

Starbucks Ahmad Yani Garut

Garut, as a tourist destination city in West Java, has not escaped Starbucks’ attention in its expansion this year. Starbucks Ahmad Yani Garut is in the city center on Jl. Ahmad Yani No.3, Paminggir, and has a 252 m2 area, a community table on the left side of the bar that allows customers to interact with the baristas, and a large outdoor area in front and on the side of the store.

Surprisingly, the store is designed in the style of a simple people’s house, with accents of green and blue water inspired by the cool and soothing color of Garut Bodas Crater Lake.
