Jakarta International BNI Java Jazz Festival 2023: The Result of Struggle In Memory

The creative industry has revived. The Jakarta International BNI Java Jazz Festival was the first festival held last year featuring Indonesian and international musicians and attended by foreign visitors. Procedures during the event preparations were not easy, but with the support of various government agencies in obtaining the necessary permits, health and safety protocols, and many other adjustments and improvements, the festival was able to run smoothly and allow creative industry workers to get back to work.

The procedure for buying tickets in 2022 also requires ticket buyers to verify their vaccination status, but in the end, although it’s not easy, all visitors follow the procedure and make the festival run well and even serve as an example for other promoters in opening up opportunities to hold events again, so that the industry can turn around again.

In 2022, the Jakarta International BNI Java Jazz Festival was held for 3 days with ten stages and hundreds of performers, and succeeded in attracting music fans who miss live performances.

The struggle for music events to take part in the development of Indonesia’s creative industry will continue on June 2 – 4, 2023, when the Jakarta International BNI Java Jazz Festival will be held at JIExpo Kemayoran in Jakarta, Indonesia.

“After raising the theme Blooming Season as a sign of the rise of post-pandemic music events last year, this year’s theme will be Let Music Lead Your Memories. We want to create a festival where visitors can make new memories as well as recall old ones. Like the story of the struggle to organize a festival full of ups and downs that everyone can experience with joy,” Dewi Gontha, the Main Director of PT. Java Festival Productions, stated.

Despite the fact that the event is still three months away, a number of musicians have confirmed their participation in the first phase announcement. The Chicago Experience feat. Danny Seraphine & Jeff Coffey, bringing decades of experience and musical talent to the stage, making their performance a must-see for music fans of all genres and ages.

He is also a member of Vulfpeck & Fearless Flyers, who will be performing at this year’s Festival for the first time. MAX, dubbed the “Young God of Pop” by GQ, named a “top pop star to watch” by Billboard, and nominated for “Best New Pop Artist” at the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards, will be among the musicians performing at this year’s event.
