The First Starbucks Reserve Store in Yogyakarta

One of the distinctive experiences at Reserve stores is Master Class which can be given by baristas to customers who want to know and enjoy coffee more deeply. Here, Coffee Masters can provide classes such as various basic coffee histories, coffee brewing techniques to latte art. This interactive class will offer a unique experience that focuses on customer interaction with the barista, and of course coffee.

Since opening its first store at Plaza Indonesia 20 years ago, Starbucks has expanded to 44 cities by the end of 2022 including 18 Starbucks Reserve stores across Indonesia, with more than 4,300 partners who are proud to wear the green apron.

And today, the company offers many ways for customers to connect with their family and friends through a cup of high-quality Starbucks coffee. In its mission to make a difference in the lives of those connected with Starbucks, the company itself strives to create a positive impact in the communities it serves.

In 2020, Starbucks opened the first Community Store in the Tanah Abang neighborhood of Jakarta, to create educational opportunities for youth in Tanah Abang, followed by the Starbucks Creative Youth Entrepreneurship Program (SCYEP) to support youth empowerment.

In collaboration with the Farmers Support Center in Berastagi, North Sumatra, more than 500,000 coffee seeds have been donated to coffee farmers through the Art in the Cup program. And in appreciation of the frontline responders of the Covid-19 outbreak, more than 50,000 cups of beverages have been donated to hospitals and vaccination centers.
