Accor Expands in Indonesia with Signing of Two New Hotels at Yogyakarta International Airport

Yogyakarta International Airport opened in 2020 with a capacity of 15 million passengers per year, which makes it one of Indonesia’s largest airports and a gateway to the entire Central Java region. A second phase of development will see the capacity raised to 20 million annual passengers. The airport offers direct connections to Asian destinations such as Jakarta, Bali, Kuala Lumpur and, from October 2022, Singapore.

Accor is the leading international hotel operator in Indonesia with 130 hotels and a healthy pipeline of 53 projects across the country. Novotel and ibis New Yogyakarta International Airport Kulon Progo will complement the Group’s five existing hotels in Yogyakarta, under the ibis, ibis Styles, Novotel Suites, Grand Mercure and MGallery Hotel Collection brands.
