The appointment of Nigel Tovey is a key part of this growth strategy. A British national, he has spent the last three decades managing hotels and resorts in Asia Pacific, including spells with some of the world’s leading hospitality companies, such as InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), CapitaLand, and Radisson Hotel Group. Crucially, he is a specialist in the opening and repositioning of properties.

HOMA Phuket Town is located within walking distance to Bangkok Hospital Phuket.

Prior to joining HOMA, Nigel was General Manager at the Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok, Radisson Hotel Group’s flagship location in Thailand. He is also a past President of SKAL International in Bangkok and Koh Samui, a Former Board Member of the Thai Hotels Association, a Fellow of the Institute of Hospitality and a former British Royal Navy Officer,

“I am delighted to join HOMA at this exciting time for the company. The launch of HOMA Phuket Town has introduced an innovative new style of accommodation to Thailand, bridging the gap between short-stay and long-term residences. This creative, flexible approach is exactly what the industry needs in this time of change. I look forward to introducing more HOMA projects across Thailand in the coming years, as we continue to reshape the industry for a sustainable future,” said Nigel Tovey, HOMA’s newly-appointed Country General Manager for Thailand.

HOMA Phuket Town is a new co-living residence which provides a collection of fully-furnished serviced apartments, plus first-class facilities including a rooftop pool, fitness centre, café, restaurant and a co- working space.

“Nigel Tovey is one of the most respected hospitality experts in Thailand, with a proven track record of success over his 30-year career. This makes him the perfect person to lead our portfolio in the Kingdom, which will multiply in the coming years. His expertise in hotel openings and operations will be a great asset to our company, as we embark on a transformative period of growth and enable even more local and international guests to ‘Live A Better Life’,” said Luca Dotti, Founder and Managing Director at HOMA.

Newly-launched in October 2021, HOMA Phuket Town provides a collection of fully-furnished serviced apartments, plus first-class facilities including a rooftop pool, fitness centre, café, restaurant and a co-working space. It is also sustainable, with a wide range of eco-friendly solutions including rooftop solar panels that generate renewable energy for all areas of the complex. As a result of its environmental efforts, HOMA Phuket Town has been awarded LEED certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.

HOMA Phuket Town will soon be joined by another location in Phuket, HOMA Cherngtalay, and a project in Chonburi province called HOMA Sri Racha. In the next five years, the group will continue to extend its collection of affordable and sustainable serviced residences to even more markets in Thailand and across the Asia Pacific region.
