Breast Cancer Awareness Month

DoubleTree by Hilton Jakarta – Diponegoro held the second Pink Ribbon Gala on October 10, 2019, in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This charity dinner was initiated by the hotel, collaborating with Breast Cancer Foundation and Prestige Indonesia, and focusing on raising awareness as well as a supportive action for survivors and fighters of breast cancer.

Aimed to rally more support for the cause and engage with like-minded audience, the Pink Ribbon Gala was a gathering place for both survivors and supporters of the campaign. The event incorporates direct donation from attendees, a silent auction with selected premium leisure packages from Hilton hotels and contributions from valued partners.

The dinner was accompanied with wonderful performances by some of Indonesia’s most talented artists, including Berto Pah, who played Sasando – a traditional music instrument from East Nusa Tenggara – followed by Glenn Fredly and Yura Yunita to mark the end of the memorable evening. All funds and proceeds collected from the gala are fully donated to Indonesia Breast Cancer Foundation, as part of the hotel’s commitment in supporting breast cancer fighters. The hotel was also honored with the presence of Mrs. Lestari Moerdijat, Vice Chairwomen of the Indonesian Consultative Assembly period 2019 – 2024, at the gala.

In addition, the hotel sponsored the Pink Fun Walk, which was arranged by Indonesia Breast Cancer Foundation on October 13, 2019. The event was joined by more than 200 participants, including 50 hotel’s Team Members activating the “Pink Bear” breast cancer awareness campaign, with the iconic pink stuffed bears from DoubleTree by Hilton Jakarta – Diponegoro.

This year, the hotel produced 1,500 pink bears that were distributed to numerous publicly- recognized personalities to further spread the fighting spirits and words of support for breast cancer survivors.

Furthermore, DoubleTree by Hilton Jakarta – Diponegoro also conducted various activities in the hotel, including dedicating several of the hotel’s key areas to be painted in pink to increase the awareness of Breast Cancer Month. The restaurants and bars prepared exclusive menus such as fresh “Royale Pink” and “Pink Me” beverages at OPEN} Restaurant and Sea Grain Restaurant & Bar; sweet “Pinky Lover” dessert at Sea Grain Restaurant & Bar; as well as the delicious “Koffee Pink” drink and “Raspberry Mousse with Raspberry Jelly” dessert at THE KOFFEE. Also available for purchase are Pink Tumbler for IDR 200,000 nett, whilst its Cookie Tin in Pink Special Package is priced at IDR 170,000 nett to spread the positive message in supporting breast cancer awareness.
