Ascott Win 11 Awards at this year’s World Travel Awards Asia & Oceania 2019

Voted ‘Asia’s Leading Serviced Apartment Brand’ for the fourth consecutive year.

CapitaLand’s wholly owned lodging business, The Ascott Limited (Ascott), was the biggest winner amongst serviced residence players sweeping 11 accolades at this year’s World Travel Awards Asia & Oceania. Ascott received the top accolade of ‘Asia’s Leading Serviced Apartment Brand’ for the fourth year running. It also bagged the ‘Leading Serviced Apartment Brand’ award for Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines.

Voted by industry professionals and travellers globally, winners of the annual World Travel Awards are recognised as hallmarks of excellence. At this year’s event held on Saturday in Vietnam, Ascott was conferred the following awards:

Ascott continued to hold the title of ‘Asia’s Leading Serviced Apartment’, with Ascott Jakarta receiving the award this year in place of Ascott Raffles City Chengdu. Ascott Jakarta is located in the city’s main business and shopping area, also known as ‘The Golden Triangle’. The 204-unit luxury serviced residence is a 15-minute drive from Merdeka Square where travellers will find museums, theatres and exhibition halls dedicated to Indonesia’s rich history and diverse culture. All six Ascott properties recognised with ‘Leading Serviced Apartments’ this year have garnered multiple wins across the years.

In June this year, Ascott also brought home seven accolades at the World Travel Awards Europe ceremony including Europe’s ‘Leading Serviced Apartment Brand’ for its Citadines properties for the fourth consecutive year. Earlier in April, Ascott was accorded three accolades at the World Travel Awards Middle East ceremony, including Middle East’s ‘Leading Serviced Apartment Brand’ for the fourth year running.
