Natural Wine Makes Its Bali Debut at Da Maria’s Unique Event

Think specialty wines, steaks, and tunes galore at Da Maria Bistecca + Vino + Vinyl

Wine lovers can breathe a sigh of relief; one of Bali’s favourite dining institutions will shortly become a haven of specialty vino. Seminyak Italian haunt Da Maria is excited to announce the launch of a one-night-only celebration of specialty wines and steaks dubbed Bistecca + Vino + Vinyl to be held on August 29. This is the first time that natural wine, created with minimal intervention, will be available on the island.

“We are bringing quality food and quirky wines to Bali,” explains Mexicola Group Food and Beverage Manager Nicolas Lento. ”We’re doing something that’s not yet been done in Indonesia. What we want to do is to give our guests a new experience – we want to share with them something new, something special. Working alongside our new Mexicola Group General Manager Bella Rowell, we want to remind people of Da Maria’s focus on quality produce and introduce Bali residents and visitors to natural wine. Our vision is to become the island’s premier natural wine venue.”

Expect specialty wines galore on the evening’s menu, which will be served alongside the existing Da Maria food and drink offerings. Natural wines have been procured from around the globe to be served at the event, with the likes of Lucy Margaux and San Vinciullo available by the glass for guests. The night won’t just be about the vino, but the food as well. Bistecca is the night’s focus, with three different cuts of meat available, as part of a collaboration with Australian producers Stockyard Beef. And then there’s the vibrant musical component, which will see soul, funk and disco vinyl spun for guests all night long.

Da Maria Bistecca + Vino + Vinyl will be held on Thursday August 29.
