Pantja Artha Niaga launches New Wine Brand – 19 Crimes in Indonesia
19 Crimes, one of the fastest growing brands within the Treasury Wine Estates (TWE) Portfolio that was named ‘Wine Brand of the Year’ by leading US wine industry title Market Watch in 2017, will now be available in Indonesia. 19 Crimes is an unique wine proposition that celebrates the rebellious spirit of men and women exiled from 18th and 19th century Britain to Australia, having committed one of the 19 Crimes meriting punishment via transportation.
With wine sourced from Australia, the 19 Crimes core portfolio consists of the signature varietal, Red Blend and is accompanied by fast growing core varietals in Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz which will be available in Indonesia. All bottles host the unique stories of the nineteen crimes that turned criminals into colonists of Australia, along with mug shots of the associated criminal convicted of these crimes.
Watch and hear the brand stories on your mobile devices with the Living Wine Label App that uses augmented reality technology.
Billy Josevine, Wine Brand Manager of Pantja Artha Niaga, said, “We are excited to be launching 19 Crimes here in Indonesia. 19 Crimes defies convention, and is a wine brand that tells a rich and authentic story, and has proven to have strong appeal to millennial consumers when it was launched in US. Consumers will also be thrilled about the unique augmented reality technology that helps bring this brand and the wine labels to life. By zooming in your phone on the mug shots with the Living Wine Label app, you will be able to see how these criminals come ‘alive’ and share their stories on the crimes.”

About 19 Crimes Wine
19 Crimes was a wine created by one of Australia’s most prestigious and heritage rich wineries. Winemaker for 19 Crimes, Paul Dahlenburg, takes his inspiration from traditional techniques where wine was made without electricity, just careful tendering and a simple touch. Big, bold reds come out this part of Victoria. Just like the spirit of our pioneers, many who were convicts – 19 Crimes celebrates those men and makes them legends.
