With art as one of it’s brand’s passion points, Le Méridien Bali Jimbaran is delighted to partner with international art enthusiast collective –The Art AuXion for a 3 months art exhibition laid out around the resort’s Hub from last February to 11 May 2015.
Through this first semester of the year, Le Méridien Bali Jimbaran is pleased to offer guests and art enthusiasts exclusive access to the recently launched art collections of the Art Auxion.
The Art AuXion is a collective that consists of extra-ordinary artists and collectors. They have combined their talents, knowledge and energy to put together a collection of art from Bali, Indonesia and the rest of the world, which has to be exposed to the people. Several accessible events are organized in Asia previously, putting these creative and stimulating pieces on display, using all creative tools and media possible to increase visibility.
The masters behind The Art AuXion
Dutch artist Irene Hoff currently resides in Bali, Indonesia; having lived and worked across South East Asia (Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, HongKong, Ho Chi Minh City) over the past few years. These diverse cultures have influenced her artistic style and theme. Irene began her creative career as a graphic & product designer, and later decided to focus her energy on the creation of art. Irene’s work is lauded regionally, and has been presented in various solo exhibitions throughout Indonesia, Vietnam and Holland.
Mersuka Dopazo was born in Las Palmas de Gran Canarias in 1971. Blessed with a vivid imagination and inborn drive to experiment with anything that falls in her hands, she is fully capable of tackling a wide range of subjects and techniques with the same spontaneous freedom that guides her innovative spirit, fearlessly and unhesitatingly. She began her carrier influenced by her experiences of country living, however, it is from her multiple travels where she has derived most of her experience and inspiration for work.
The collective believes that by doing so, a broad group of people is stimulated to open up new ways of thinking, challenging them to step out of their ordinary lives, creating new perspectives.
Their exhibition at Le Méridien Bali Jimbaran is an interesting project as it opens a window to Art AuXion’s world of integrative art. Showcasing a collection of themes, Art AuXion is once again set to change the concept art with a contemporary twist.
About Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts
Le Méridien , the Paris-born hotel brand currently represented by nearly 100 properties in more than 35 countries, was acquired by Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: HOT) in November 2005. With more than 75 of its properties located in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific, Le Méridien provided a strong international complement to Starwood’s then primarily North American holdings at the time of purchase. Since then, Le Méridien has gone through a brand re-launch, which included a large scale hotels product consolidation and redefined brand strategy.
Through partnerships with some of the world’s most creative minds, Le Méridien has transformed numerous guest touch points, thus bringing unique, interactive and curated experiences to its guests. Plans call for dynamic expansion of Le Méridien Hotels and Resorts within the next five years, concentrating on markets in Asia-Pacific and the Americas. Le Méridien recently opened new hotels in Columbus (Ohio, USA), Charlotte (North Carolina, USA), Indianapolis (Indiana, USA), New Orleans, Chicago, Tampa (Florida, USA), Cairo, Bahrain, Bali, Atlanta, Oran (Algeria), and Zhengzhou (China), and will open in the next 12 months in Bangkok, Gurgaon (India), Mahabaleshwar (India), Thimphu (Bhutan), Paro (Bhutan), Dhaka (Bangladesh), Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), Qingdao (China), Leshan (China), and Putrajaya (Malaysia).
