Bandung, April 1, 2013. Some form of wine is produced in most countries worldwide, whether it made from grapes or other fruits. In Indonesia, the tropical climate allows wine grapes to be grown in shorter cycles, providing Indonesian winemakers with up to three different harvests within the same year. Bali is home to one of Indonesia’s only commercial vineyard and winery, Hatten Wines, which began production in 1994.

Having been voted in the top 10 for fastest improving producers in Asia, Hatten Wines uses local grape to produce its wines from its own vineyards in North Bali (Buleleng Regency) which grows the local black grapes- the Alphonse-Lavallee French table grapes and white grape varieties. Our Director of Culinary and Service, Anthony O’Connell, will pair the first and only true Balinese Wine from Hatten Wine with an 6 course Indonesian special menu that includes Indonesian Tapas upon arrival in our special event “Indonesian Wine Dinner” on April 15, 2013.

The series of Indonesian Special Menu that will complement your dinner, such as Steamed Udang Galah, Chicken lemongrass, turmeric and ginger consommé, Gurame with Green Mango Salad, Ayam Klaten, Lumpia Kambing Asam Pedas, Iga Bakar Balado and for sorbet is Bandrek Sorbet, followed by a platter of Indonesian dessert specialties.  This menu will be pair with Jepun Sparkling Wine, Tunjung Sparkling Wine, Aga White Wine, Alexandria Muscat, Two Island Chardonnay, Two Island Cabernet Merlot, Aga Red Wine and Pino the Bali for the dessert platter.
Swirl the glass, clink and toast to this fabulous wine dinner at only Rp. 350.000,- ++ per guest presents excellent value for money. With the elegant ambience of The Cantigi Restaurant and accompaniment of traditional music this evening is one not to be missed.
