Starwood Heroes Unite – Global Sales Blitz


Business Development Week, April 8 – 12, 2013

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Indonesia kicked off its first2013 Global Sales Blitz with Business Development Week, focusing on; calling on key clients, new customers across the globe, increasing volume of existing accounts, find new accounts and winning the competitions.

With the tagline ‘Be your customer’s hero, by making them one’, the entire 13 (thirteen) properties’ sales organization across all segments of Starwood hotels & resorts in Indonesia comes out and engage customers, identify their needs, and book some businesses. Over the next five days, more than 500 sales and hotel associates from 13 properties will be hitting the pavement highlighting Starwood’s new portfolio of hotels, new meeting offerings and other incentive programs to encourage businesses and clients to get back on the road and drive revenue.

The global sales blitz itself is a company wide effort to improve business development, influence key clients and influencers and connect the divisional sales teams through a truly global initiative to move the needle for travel.

Throughout the week, the sales teams will be joined by key personnel from each participating property including General Managers, Revenue Managers, Chefs, and Outlet Managers by visiting to professional convention planners, government agencies, embassies, universities, corporate event planners and travel agents to highlight Starwood’s new portfolio of hotels, the new online meetings and events management tools, and other incentive programs to encourage businesses and clients to utilize Starwood’s brands to help them grow their own businesses.

Participating hotels include Sheraton Lampung Hotel, Sheraton Bandara Hotel, Le Meridien Jakarta, Keraton at The Plaza Jakarta, Sheraton Bandung Hotels & Towers, Sheraton Mustika Yogyakarta Resort & Spa, Sheraton Sengigi Beach Resort, W Bali Seminyak Retreat & Spa, Sheraton Kuta Resort, The Westin Nusa Dua Bali, St. Regis Bali, The Laguna Resort & Spa Bali and Le Meridien Bali Jimbaran. Each representing 6 (six) of all the brands under Starwood which existed in Indonesia; St. Regis, The Luxury Collection, W, Westin, Le Méridien and Sheraton.

In addition, to drive awareness of the diversity and quality across Starwood’s brands, sales associates will demonstrate key signature elements in meetings and tradeshows. This will include bringing a St. Regis Butler to personify the bespoke services and unparalleled amenities offered by the luxury brand, as well as models from the W, Starwood’s forward-thinking brand that is setting the latest trends for fashion, design and entertainment.

This year, the closing event was wrapped attractively on April 13th 2013 at Cimory Dairy Farm, Cisarua Bogor, organized by Jakarta Sales team of Sheraton Mustika Yogyakarta Resort & Spa. There will be milking & feeding the cows on the ranch, visiting the factory and shopping moment at Cimory Dairy Farm. Live music entertainment, singing competition, Cimory’s authentic luncheon, social media corner by @StarwoodBuzz & @SPG and appealing door prizes enliven the ‘Toward to Forward’ closing event as well.
