Nusa Dua, Bali, February 2013. The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali recently celebrated Chinese New Year with an array of uplifting activities for the pleasure of in-house guests. Festivities got off to an early start with an energizing performance of the Chinese Dragon Dance as a symbol of prosperity for the year ahead. Then there was a delectable buffet dinner of Chinese specialty dishes hosted during the evening at Capsicum Cafe accompanied by acoustic guitar music. Traditional red angpao envelopes were also distributed containing generously discounted vouchers to be enjoyed at all Food and Beverage outlets throughout the resort the following day.
“Although Bali is predominantly a Hindu enclave, there is a strong Chinese influence on the island and it is important to honour the cultural significance of this annual holiday. We wanted to recreate some of the renewing festivities commonly associated with Chinese New Year here at the resort. I trust that this auspicious weekend was a relaxing time filled with feel-good experiences for all of our guests,” comments Mr. Bipan Kapur, Managing Director of The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali.
The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali enjoys a prime beachfront location in the exclusive Nusa Dua enclave on Bali’s southern tip with 334 cozy rooms; a place where you can be at your best and experience total renewal. Adjacent to the Resort is The Bali International Convention Centre, the largest meeting resource on the island consisting of Ballroom, exhibition space, auditorium and 17 meeting rooms and sufficient space to cater for up to 10,000 participants. Both facilities make a successful mix of business and leisure possible.
