Nusa Dua, November 2012. The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali was honoured to host leaders from more than 14 nations for the recent Bali Democracy Forum V. This high-profile event took place in the private meeting rooms of the Bali International Convention Centre from 8th – 9th November 2012.
As the 5th event of its kind, the Bali Democracy Forum saw its largest ever gathering of national leaders. Representatives came from all over Asia and beyond to forge stronger ties and discuss issues relevant to the region. The President of Indonesia, Mr. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, also conducted a number of bilateral meetings with neighbouring counterparts in a secured setting.
Several heads of state including the Prime Ministers of Australia, Turkey, Sri Lanka and India chose to stay at the resort during the forum. Although it was an official visit to the island of Bali, delegates had the opportunity to experience the Westin brand and some of its signature initiatives. These included Westin WORKOUT and our uplifting spa facility, while SuperFoodsRX healthy eating options were available at all dining venues.
“I am very happy that our property was chosen as the official venue to host such a high level Presidentail event with so many world leaders in attendance. My congratulations go out to all of our associates for providing impeccable service that certainly contributed to the overall success of the forum,” comments Mr. Bipan Kapur, Managing Director of The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali.
